Arduino Tea Bag Timer

Arduino Tea Bag Timer

Today I want to show you how Arduino can help you to make a perfect Tea!

I always wanted to have the tea bag in the water for a specific time. However, I never do that because I forget to get the tea bag out of the water early enough to taste good.

This is why I invented the Arduino Tea Bag Timer!

What you have to do is to put your mug under the Tea Bag Timer, select the number of minutes you want the tea bag to be in the water, and then you double click to start.

At that point, the tea bag will gently dip in the water and stay in the water for the amount of minutes selected.

At the end of the timer, the tea bag will gently go up again and get out of the mug. This allows you to have a perfect tea without having to remind or check the watch.

As usual, if you like the project, put a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Source code and schematics are available for free use.

To make this project you need:

  • one Arduino Nano
  • one servo
  • one display I2C
  • few pieces of wood
