Apple Rose Pastry

it is very simple and requires only few ingredients.

Ingredients

apples 2

puff pastry

jam (i use strawberry or apricot jam.

powdered sugar or cinnamon powder to sprinkle.

Cut the Apples

wash the apples
and half them. Scoop out the core and cut off the stem.

cut the halves into thin(approx 4mm) slices to give many
semi circles.

Organise the Slices

Put these apple slices in a bowl of water to which you
add a few drops of lemon and microwave for around 2 minutes on high setting.

Drain out the water and spread the slices on a kitchen
paper to dry out all the water.

Roll

In the meanwhile spread out the puff pastry and cut into
broad strips of around 3inches.

Spread the jam along the length of the strips and then
arrange the apple slices overlapping each other only on one half of the strip
along the whole length of the stip.(as shown in the picture.) Then fold the
pastry stip along the midline covering the bottom half of the apple semicircle
slices.

Bake and Enjoy

Roll up the pastry strip along with the apple slices.
Place each of these rolls in a muffin mould and bake in a pre heated oven at
180C for around 10-15 minutes.

Remove the roses fromt he oven and prinkle with powdered
sugar or cinnamon when still hot.

Allow it to cool.
