In this Instructables, I am going to be showing you how to make Apple Pie from scratch under 2 hours. In this recipe i'm using vanilla extract and, cinnamon to add a little bit more flavor to the pie. And i'm using a medal pie pan because, I don't recommend the foil pie pan because it's smaller. For the pie crust, I used Pillsbury pie crust but you can also use a different kind.

Supplies

Pie Crust

Pie pan

1/2 cup of unsalted butter

3 tablespoons of all purpose flour

1/4 cup of water

1/2 cup of white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

8 (or less) apples- peeled and sliced

1/2 Vanilla extract (optional)

1/2 Cinnamon (optional)

Peel the apples. Then evenly slice the apples into very thin slices (1/8 inches). For this pie I sliced/peeled 6 apples depending on how pig your pie is. Make sure you have enough apples to fill in the crust.

Use 1 roll of the pie crust and place it on the bottom of the pan. Make sure you are putting the pie crust in gently because the dough is very fragile.

Gently pour the sauce (sugar and butter) over the crust. Pour slowly so that it doesn't run off.

If I was to remake the apple pie I would make my apples a little more thicker because when it’s very thin it’s very soft. And I would also use a pie pan because I couldn't find a metal pie pan so, I used a cake pan but i'm pretty sure it'll still taste the same.
