Apple Pi Truffles

This recipe is perfect for when you would like apple pi, yet don't want to eat a whole slice. It consists of a homemade apple pie filling with a hard chocolate shell on the outside.
Ingredients: Sugar, Brown sugar, Corn Syrup, An apple, White chocolate, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and Dark chocolate
Other things you will need: A truffle mold, Measuring spoons, a mug, and a knife

Make the Filling

To make the filling, simply combine 2 tablespoons of white sugar, two tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/8th a teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1/8th a teaspoon of cinnamon, one 1/8 a teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 tablespoon of water, and 1 tablespoon of corn syrup. Adjust according to taste. Then chop up the 1/3 of an apple to small chunks and add it in to the mixture.
To make the shells, take your truffle mold and put a little bit of melted milk chocolate in each cavity. Use the knife to cover the sides of the cavity with the chocolate. Place the mold in the freezer for 10 minutes for the chocolate to harden.

Finally when the truffles come out of the freezer, fill the cavities with the pie filling we made earlier. then cover the truffles with melted chocolate using the knife. Warning this part is difficult and any cracks in the chocolate will cause the filling to seep out. put it back in the freezer for ten minutes. After the truffles come out of the freezer flex the mold to pop the truffles out. Then, Melt the white chocolate and place it in a zip lock bag with a small hole in the corner of the bag, then you can pipe on a pi symbol. As a reference here is a pi symbol. π Happy eating!
