I have a LOT of apples at my house. I also have some peaches. The peaches are not that great, they taste really mealy. I decided to kill three birds with one stone. Use some peaches, use some apples, and make some juice.

Ingredients/Tools

Ingredients:

  • Apples
  • Peaches
  • Lemon
  • Water

Tools:

  • Juicer
  • Strainer
  • Bowls
  • Apple Peeler
  • Knife

Pick

First things first, pick your fruit. You need about four apples and four peaches for one and a half cups of juice.

Peel/Slice

Peel the apples, then slice them and put them into a bowl with water and lime/lemon. The lime/lemon will keep the apples from turning brown. The peaches are easier to prepare. Slice them in half, take out the seed, then cut them in half again. Compost the scraps from the fruit.

Juice

This is the easiest and most fun step. Push the fruit into the juicer.

Strain

Put a strainer over a cup, then pour the juice through the strainer into the cup. This purifies the juice into a state that is more like a drink than pudding.

The End

Now that you are done making the juice, I recommend placing it in the fridge too cool it down. If you leave it in one place for too long it will settle. You can purposefully allow it to settle, and then remove even more of the pulp. Or you can just stir it back in with the liquid.
