Apple Crumble Bake
I always find myself buying a bunch of fruit and then at the edge of it rotting. This is the perfect way to make a simple dessert with the bunch of apples left in our kitchen!
Supplies
6-7 normal size apples or 11-12 small size apples
pinch of salt
1/3 cup + 2 tablespoon of flour
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
115 g of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Prep the Apples
(Pre-heat oven at 356 F or 180 C)
First, peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. Then, add the pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of flour, a cup of brown sugar, a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix until well combined and pour into a heat-proof container.
Prep the Crumble
Cut the butter into small pieces. In a separate bowl, mix the butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of flour and a tablespoon of cinnamon. Mix it with a wooden spoon, or any utensil that won't homogenize the mixture, you are searching for a crumble. Pour the mixture into the container on top of the apples.
Bake the Crumble!
Bake at 356 F for about 30 minutes or until bubbling and golden. Let chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Optional, top it off with vanilla ice cream if desired!
