Appearance Changes in PuTTY - Part 04

In this article, we will discuss the appearance changes we all would love to have in the PuTTY application. PuTTY by default has very small text and it is challenging for those with visibility challenges.

Supplies

We will need the following:

  1. A CentOS on PC/Laptop (or) a Virtual Machine
  2. A Microsoft Windows machine with PuTTY installed on it

Checking IP Address of CentOS

There are many situations where the PC/Laptop hosting the CentOS VM is moved from one location to the other, thereby there is always a chance that the PC/Laptop connects to a new DHCP Server. In such scenarios, the IP address will not remain the same. It is suggested that the IT Administrator checks the IP address with the commands as shown in the screenshot.

Depending on the changes to the IP address, configure PuTTY to have the same IP Address and proceed with the next steps.
