Step 1: Rust Removal With Electrolysis

First I cleaned the wrench with a brush tool to remove the loose rust.

After I put it to the container with water and baking soda in it. I also putted an iron rods with wires connected to them. Minus wire connected to the wrench(cathode).

Plus wires connected to the rods (anodes) - redox reactions (oxidation) occur on it resulting in the destruction of the anode. That is why big rods is used.

Wires connected to DC power supply 9V 5A.

Step 2: File Grinding

This adjustable wrench appears to have been used as a hammer.

The edges were very badly knocked down.

I smoothed the edges with a file. The file allows you to grind a flat surface easily.

Step 3: Sanding

I have sanded the wrench with a pneumatic sand machine starting with 80 grid and up to 1000.

Step 4: Thread Restoration

The thread was severely damaged by rust and cut-off by using the wrench as a hummer.

I welded up the metal and cut a new thread with a file.

Step 5: Polishing

I polished the wrench with a felt circle to a mirror shine and covered everything with wax to protect from rust.
