Analyzing the Head Before a Shampoo

In this Instructable, you will learn how to analyze a head properly before shampoo.

Supplies you need for analyzing the head:

1. a cape
2. a towel around neck
3. brush
4. pin tail comb
5. clips

First, you will make sure the hair is fully detangled.

Next, take a pin tail comb and split hair in the middle.

After hair is split down the middle, take half the hair and pin it up in a clip out of the way.

You will now take turns analyzing both sections of hair.

Take your pin tail comb and part through the hair and analyze the scalp and hair.

You are looking for head lice, scalp abrasions, or any open wounds before you start your shampooing.

Once you have finished, proceed to shampoo.
