Accidentally break the plastic IKEA Vidga curtain rail connector? Here is a cheaper and durable (metal) alternative solution.
Materials:
1. Bolt, M6 x 12mm
2. M6 nut
3. M6 washer x 2
Tools:
1. Flat steel file
2. 10mm spanner
3. Plyer

The M6 washer outer diameter is slightly larger than the size of Vidga curtain rail slot.
File the washers to shape it to fit into the 12mm slot.

Put all together as shown in photo. Tighten the bolt and nut.
Try a shorter bolt if extrude is too obvious.
