I am a senior student at MATER DEI HIGH SCHOOL ,Santa Ana,CA.

I want to design a light forklift truck. The main points of the design are:

(1). It is a machine with maximum flexibility.

(2). The design is novel and avant-garde, with a sense of the future.

I get inspiration from the shape of spiders, spiders are flexible, fun and cool.

In the sketch, I designed a spherical cockpit, which can rotate flexibly in three-dimensional space, and the driver can also get an open visual experience.

The six legs of the forklift can be flexibly retracted to adjust its height and Angle.Tires are designed at the end of the foot to allow it to travel quickly on flat surfaces. On rugged surfaces or steps, the six legs can crawl in a spider-like manner, adapting to most different terrain.

I used fusion 360 for rough styling,I used mirrored stainless steel and glass on the model。

Usage Scenario Outlook

I envision the following usage scenarios.

1. Mars. With the human exploration of Mars program, this flexible light forklift can help astronauts move heavy equipment or living items. It is perfectly adapted to the unexpectedly rugged terrain of the Martian surface

2, rescue, when earthquake or other natural disasters happen, this forklift can be used as a powerful assistant for search and rescue workers

3. Go up and down stairs. Many urban buildings have lots of steps and stairs, and this spider like forklift can handle these terrains

In the future, even unmanned operations can be carried out. We can remotely control forklifts to work in dangerous areas
