Alien Ship & Glowstick Decoration

This is a fun sci if decoration. Sorry for the upside down photos and poor photo quality--it's my first instructable!

Materials

image.jpg
2 tart pie shells
1 plastic shot glass
1 chenille stick cut in half
1 alien figure (one shown is glow in the dark, sold in pack of 12 at party supply store)
Scissors (or something else to poke holes)
Glue gun
(Glow bracelet)

Position Alien

-Punch small holes in the middle of one tart shell for the alien's feet.
-Position the alien's feet through the holes carefully (try not to enlarge the holes too much).
-Turn the shell over and put a lot of hot glue around the feet to hold the alien in the position you want.
-Hold the alien in place until the glue hardens enough that it won't move.

Prepare Bottom Half of "saucer."

-Punch two holes in the shell (as shown by arrows in picture).
-Feed a piece of chenille stick through the holes as shown, so that two equal length pieces poke out the bottom.
-Bend the ends as shown to create two loops (to hold a glow bracelet later).

Prepare the Alien's Chamber and Hanger

image.jpg
-Poke a small hole in the top of the shot glass.
-Bend a chenille piece as shown and insert in the hole (so it will hold the ornament).
-Bend the other end of the chenille to be a hanger.

Glue the Alien Bubble to Half the Saucer

Glue the parts together as shown.

Attach the Saucers
