Give a general description of the Instructableis my homemade beretta 92 fs spring airsoft silencer. I would say that the total reduction is something like 30%-40%.

Materials

You will need the following materials and tools to complete this project.

Materials:
a length of 1 inch or bigger diameter thin-wall pvc pipe
1x mini (12 oz) gatorade cap
1x 2L coke bottle cap
1x expo dry erase marker
a bit of pipe insulation
epoxy or some other wicked strong glue

Tools:
a rounded file
a flat file
scisors
hack saw
clamp(useful for holding stuf togeather while drying and holding stuff while sawing it in half)

Finding the Right Pipe

I found that a 1 inch diameter thin-wall pvc pipe worked fine with this gun. I would recoment that you don't make the silencer longer than the gun itself.

Finding the Right Size End Cap.

I found that a mini Gatorade bottle cap and a 2L coke bottle cap fit perfectly. Fust put the coke cap inside the Gatorade cap and glue them together. I used a five minute epoxy to securely hold them together. You want a very strong glue for this part. Anything less will cause the cap to fail in later steps.

Finding an Adpter for the Muzzle of the Gun.

I found that the orange tip had a diameter of roughly 5/8 inches. I searched around my house and found that an expo dry erase marker had the perfect diameter. I pulled out the back with a pair of needle-nose pliers. I pulled out the ink foam thing and then pulled the felt tip out of the front. I then cut the marker tip off so I had a small 5/8 inch diameter tube. i used my hacksaw to cut the tube. it's stiffer than it looks.

Fitting the Adapter to the Caps

I drilled a 5/8inch hole into the caps but found that the hole wasn't big enough for the expo marker so i filed it into a rough circle untill it fit VERY TIGHTLY ONTO THE EXPO MARKER. This is very important because otherwise you will beed to glue this as well.

Finding the Right Silencing Material

I used a piece of pipe insulatiion for my silencing material. i had to cut it down a little, but it fit in the end. try to make a hole about 1/2 inches in diameter tough the middle of the silencer so there is room for the bb to fly.

Final Assembly

This sept is very easy. Simply slide the assembled expo marker and caps into the pvc pipe and pipe insulator. if you want to glue the cap and marker to the pipe, go right ahead. I didn't to allow for future modifications and for easy replacement of parts.
