AirPods Storage

I am not the most organized person you will ever meet and I sometimes misplace items including my AirPods. I thought about what I could make for myself and I knew creating an AirPods holder would be smart. This way I can keep them in one spot which will be the on side of my desk at home where I do my work. It will hang off the side of my desk and I created a hook on the back of the case.

Note: When referring to AirPods being one size apple only creates one size of the first-generation.

Supplies

Computer

Tinkercad software and understanding of how it works

Create 2 Squares

First, create a square with the dimensions 2 x 1.286 x 2inch and change the radius to 0.13.This dimension is essential because airpods only come in one size and they will either be too big or small if you use a differnt size.

Flatten One of the Squares

Take one of the squares and flatten them so you can use it as a backboard. This will help ensure the case/holder remains sturdy and will help keep everything together.

Combine Feature

Attach both together so the air pod's case remains sturdy. Use the combine feature and align feature to ensure both are correctly attached. This is also an important step to ensure the AirPods remain safe/secure so they don't fall out and get damaged.

Add Another Square Then Make a Hole

Make this square a bit smaller than the other square because you will be making a hole that will allow the AirPods to fit in the case. Once the square size is smaller and a hole use the align button to ensure the square match up.

Align Feature

Make sure both squares are even and centered by using the align feature. Once they are matched up click the group button which makes a hole in the red square.

REMINDER: Make sure you do not put the hole all the way through the red square or else you will not have a secure AirPod case.

Add 2 Cylinders and a Square

First: Add the two cylinders to the grid and make sure they are the same size and are aligned. They should be a few 5-9 centimeters apart.

Second: Add a square and make it a little bit wider but the height shorter.

Third: Attach the square and the cylinder by aligning and grouping them together.

Fourth: Make a hole so the shapes can be attached to the AirPods case so the top part can close.

Align and Combine

First, align the previous shapes that were put together at the top of the front side AirPods holder. Then click group which will make a hole in the front of AirPods which is what the picture above reflects.

Final Part the Holder

Since this will be stored on the side of my desk cabinet I have created a holder on the back which will allow me to keep safe in one place. This step I thought about carefully since I don't want my case to fall apart or break
