Even though it hasn't been on any Adventure time episode it is used in the logo. About 2 years ago I bought foam hoping to make this sword, but to foolish thinking and quick action I wasted all of my foam and it didn't even look good. I decided to own up to thy mis action by redoing this project again, but with planning and re thinking that plan over again. To be honest I'm not much of an Adventure Time fan. I just watched a few episodes so don't get mad if I type something wrong. (LUMP OFF!!!) This project won't take up to much of your time, it just takes a day. I suggest doing this on a weekend or during summer break *hint* *hint* .

Using the reference pictures start drawing an outline on paper that has been taped together. I have a few measurements the blade is 14 in., the while sword is 22 in.,the "arms" sticking out are 2 in., away from the handle it is 2 1/2 in. tall, the handle is 3 1/2 in. long, 1 1/2 in. long for diameter. I know that sounds confusing just look at the picture for help.

MATHEMATICAL!!!!!!!

Make the Details First

Once you think your template is good enough trace your template n the cardboard I suggest an amazon box. Make two of everything. After your done cutting out all the pieces think where each piece will go. Get the "arm" shaped piece and cut out a circle shape. Trace that same circle and cut out a smaller circle inside. Hot glue the two circles together and glue it onto the center of the arm piece. Now make a 1 cm long line of card board and line it with the arm piece. Do that for both sides. Do the same thing for the triangle.

Making a Handle

Trace the imaginary handle on to a piece of paper and make two of those. Put this on cardboard, cut out, and glue ONE SIDE ONLY. Cover/ layer with electrical tapes. Spray it with the brown duct tape and let it dry.

The 3D Blade

To make the 3D blade trace the flat blade onto the cardboard 3-4 times. Find the center of two of the blades and cut them out. You should have four 1/2 blades. Take the third blade and cut 1/4 of an inch. You should make two of those. Get your long cardboard you just cut out and glue it in the middle of your sword. Place the 1/2 blades one at a time on the cardboard. After you are done glueing all the pieces spray both sides silver.

Making the 3D Ball at the End

14, 10:46 PM.jpg
At first my idea was to get a real ball and cut it in half. But I figured out a "better" idea. If you haven't seen my other instructables (you should) one of them was a FROZEN Kristoff Guitar (actually known as a mandolin or loot), but one of the steps was making the round part. I first cut out long strips of cardboard (4). Make a T or cross on both sides. Make 8 triangle shapes and glue them on. Spray paint that gold.

Extra Details

Get the arm piece and trace it onto the crown piece. Cut it out and spray it silver.

I bought a buzz lightyear mini figure for a $1.00 at Quickly and I used the head as the blue ball in the middle. My first idea was to paint it blue but I didn't have any blue paint so I got some hot glue and blue fabric I had left over. Start by putting a little glue and fabric one at a time make sure it's smooth. Glue the half blue ball onto the arm piece.

I noticed that my sword was a little unsturdy so to fix that I jut in a strap of cardboard and added it to the handle and across it to wherever you think it will bend just add that protection.

Final Step Glueing It All Together

Glue the handle on, the crown piece, and the arm piece on. It should all fit snug.
