Advanced Paper Swan

This is an advanced paper swan that I had learned to create a few years ago. I would recommend this to anyone who is patient because it will take a long time to make. The example I made seems pretty tiny but it took over 7 sheets of paper to make and about 3 hours worth of folding and cutting.

Supplies

The supplies needed will be:

- Paper 8.5 inch x 11 inch (standard size)

-Some scissors

- Pencil crayons (optional) for coloring beak and eyes

Step 1. Start Cutting

To start off, you must get a piece of paper and fold it so that there are 32 boxes. These 32 boxes will be used to create 32 segments. Once folded, cut all the boxes into separate pieces. Repeat this step on at least 5 pieces of paper. But the sky's the limit and you can cut as much sheets of paper as you like. The more sheets you cut, the larger you can make your swan.

Step 2. Start Folding

you must fold each piece of paper to make each segment. First fold the piece of paper in half horizontally, and then vertically. Second, you must fold the piece of paper you that it resembles a "house shape". And Finally, you must fold the corner inside and then "tuck them in". Once this is all done then you have made 1 segment. Do this for every last piece and if using 5 sheets of paper, you should have 160 segments.

Step 3. Pile Them

Pile them up! Because why not?

Step 4. Create the "Sun"

Once all of your segments have been folded, you must use them to create this "sun" shape as I like to call it. Add a layer of segment 1 at a time.

Step 5. Forming the Shape

The segments all together should create a sort of "bowl" shape. Keep adding layers until in looks like an "apple" shape.

Step 6. the Neck

After getting the "apple" shape, start adding a neck. Do this by stacking the pieces on top of each other. Do this in a curved shape.

Step. 7 the Final Thing: Tail and Color

The last step, is to add a tail to the "apple" and if you want, color a beak and some eyes on it's neck and...…..

TAAA DAAA

Your Apple is now a Swan!!

Congrats on creating an Advanced Paper Swan!!
