Acceleration Detection Via FLOWSTONE

As an upcoming module in my Car Assistant (https://www.instructables.com/id/My-Car-Automation-Pc/) I needed a means to detect when I press the gas pedal too quickly. Doing this to the gas pedal will demand power sharply from the engine and I don't want the air conditioning to be engaged at those times.

I want maximum fuel efficiency via help from my Car Assistant.

The slide primitive in Flowstone allows for a time delayed, filtered output of float values. In my case, the throttle position sensor give a 0 to 5V signal. The harder I press the pedal, the higher the output voltage read by my Car Assistant. At almost 5V, this is a wide open throttle condition that indicates me doing an overtake of another vehicle. My driving style is very defensive and I treat my engine very well. Once there is a rapid increase in the sensor output, I want the air conditioning disabled for 5 seconds.

This schematic allows my Car Assistant to know if I'm accelerating too rapidly and therefore temporarily disable the air conditioning. This simple schematic allows for better fuel economy from my car!
