Abstract Art "Mondrian Inspired"

I Love Design. It allows me to express my opinion. Its an outlet bring balance and center self. Are you running around with a lot of baggage. Let it go without saying it. I dont know his story or "The Dutch Masters History". The past 2 years Ive been changing the world. I donated all clothes I have 3 closets full of waste I havent worn in 5 plus years. My action was to change that. Warning this may. blow your mind. It was a big win. Not only did I wake up to all the waste. So much became clear. All the junk I needed or wanted went away. I was able to focus on changing bad habits. Lately his work expresses everything and more I want to say.

Design Process

I almost never draw or plan out my process. I have it mapped so clearly in my mind. Recently Ive learned how to level up and turn it into a superpower. I can multitask really well. I scan my surroundings and check for patterns. So I guess or solve what can happen/ I know what I can and can not do. I know my weakness and limits. As my design unfold in my head. In realtime i can scan and focus of everything going on around me and work on several task while a layer of paint drys. I answer emails and make lunch. Im not a professional. So ill try and explain my process in a user friendly way........
I like to have all my supplies at a hands reach. I had to white out my mdf. I made short strokes to give a smooth even surface. I took me 3 coats with 20 of dry time. I didnt sand or prime the layers.
Mask/Tape Off for the Sharp Lines.

Mask off the negative space with tape. I can get a little tricky. To produce the lines you need to mask off tap wit a double line to give clean and sharp edges. I have my vision of my design clear as day. Take your time it gets confusing you are trying to recreate from a picture. I almost freehanded the lines. Ive never been able to paint a straight line. I know the end results would express my feelings. Make sure all the tape lines and pressed down with no air gaps.
Lay Down All the Black Lines.

My design is easy going with a lot of room for me to play with line thickness and tint. In his work the lines are uniform in width and movement. I liked the coverage from 2 layers of black. I wanted mine to have more of a pop or 3D feel. So dry brushed a little white as the 2nd lays of black was almost dry to blend a tint of gray. so the lines will take on some fun life of its own. In his work His colors are bold and 1 tone. I feel like he wanted to loosen up. His whole style changed. But the uniform lines changed in his work but the style and tone was the same. That paints a picture of what he must of felt at that time.
Splash a Little Color

I panted the color shapes while everything was still taped off. The color areas were not planned. The first color I grabbed filled the closet shape to me. It all flowed very nice and easy. I love it as soon as I finished. Im very happy with it. I left taped and dry over night. The take removal was great. It peeled off in one take. I had to clean up a little blue bleed through. It was tinner so take line was off.
Finishing Touches

clean up and paint bleed. I like to seal my work to prolong it. Sometimes I spend days or never finishing projects. Its hard for me to edit the last bits. Im so hard on myself.
