AVOCADO TOAST - OPEN FACE

Avocados are no longer just for guacamole anymore. Avocado toast is also not just for breakfast. This wonderful fruit, is a great dinner alternative to help people who cannot always eat heavy dinners. Avocado toast has become a favorite among health and food enthusiasts.

Fruits and vegetables can add fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to make your avocado toast an even more nutritious breakfast, snack or even as a light dinner.
Avocados are a good source of monounsaturated fats and fiber, two nutrients that have been noted for their roles in aiding weight loss.

Supplies

Cutting Board
Knife
Bowl - (stainless steel does not stain)
Tablespoon
Toaster/Toaster Oven
Serving Plates

INGREDIENTS:
2 - “Avocado” - Medium ripe ready to eat.
3-4 Slices of 5-grain fresh Italian Bread
1 - Tomato - Beefsteak. (sliced)
1 - Cucumber (small sliced)
1 - Fresh lemon squeezed to taste
4 pcs - Chives (optional)
4 tsp - Goat Cheese Crumbled
4 tsp - French Sea Salt
4 tsp - Everything Bagel Topping
(Sesame Seed, Poppy Seed,
Onion and Garlic)
3-4 tsp - Virgin Olive Oil (to taste)
3-4 slices - Bib Lettuce for garnish

Optional Ingredients:
Black Olives (sliced) to taste!
Add a fried egg on top of the open face

The Avocado 🥑 is ready to eat when the stem comes out easily (or, if the stem is gone, when the fruit yields slightly to gentle pressure).
“WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE
PREPARATION OF FOOD.”
1. Cut the Avocado in half lengthwise down to the seed.
2. Twist the two halves to separate the avocado. The pit (seed) will remain in one of the halves 🥑.
3. Use the edge of your knife to remove the pit. See the picture.
NOTE: You can also use a spoon to scoop out the pit.
4. Using a tablespoon, scoop out the four halves of the cut avocado into a bowl.
5. Use the spoon to slice the avocado into small chunks. Some of the avocado may be slightly mashed. It’s OK 👍!
DO NOT MASH THE AVOCADO

1. Get 3-4 slices of the 5-grain Italian Bread.
2. Place slices of bread in toaster or toaster oven.🍞
3. Set toaster or toaster over to medium toast. (To your liking)
4. Once buzzer goes off, remove from toaster/toaster oven.
DO NOT TOAST TOO CRUNCHY.

BASE TOPPING - AVOCADO 🥑

1. Now is the time to spoon the Avocado onto the Toast.
2. Spoon a heaping amount of Avocado onto the toasted slices of bread.
Don’t be stingy.
3. Ready for toppings……….

1. Drizzle Virgin Olive Oil onto the Avocado.
2. Squeeze lemon sparingly (to taste) onto the oil.
3. Next, Use a spoon to sprinkle/spread the Crumbled Goat Cheese sparingly on top.
4. Lightly sprinkle with French Sea Salt to taste.
5. Sprinkle (to taste) Everything Bagel Topping spices. This topping consists of sesame seed, poppy seeds, onion chips and garlic.
This topping can be gotten fresh at bagel outlets or places like Trader Joe or Amazon.
6. Thinly Slice a fresh cucumber and place on top of the crumbled goat cheese.
7. Lastly, thinly slice a Beefsteak Tomato 🍅. Cut in half (see pictures). Place the sliced tomatoes on top to complete the Avocado Open Face Sandwich.

1. Tear off 3-4 leafs off the Bib Lettuce and place them on a plate.
2. Place the completed slices of Avocado Toast on top of the Bib Lettuce.
“PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING”
Option:
1. Fry a single egg and place on top of the open face.
1. Slice each slice of Toast in half before serving. ( See picture )
