This Instructable will guide you through the process of testing an LM393 based LDR module with an Arduino ProMini.

Supplies

1) Arduino ProMini: Arduino ProMini

2) LM393 LDR MODULE: LDR MODULE

3) Half-sized breadboard: Breadboard

4) Male jumper wires: Jumper wires

5) FT232RL: FT232RL

CONNECTIONS

WIRE DIAGRAM.png

LDR MODULE GND -> Arduino GND

LDR MODULE VCC -> Arduino VCC

LDR MODULE ANALOG OUT -> Arduino Analog Pin 0

PROGRAMMING

1) Download the code.

2) Verify it.

3) Select port, board, and upload the sketch.

TESTING THE LDR MODULE

* SKIP TO 2:28 *

The LDR MODULE'S ANALOG OUTPUT VARIES LINEARLY WITH THE LUMINOSITY OF THE LIGHT SOURCE.

The LDR MODULE'S DIGITAL OUTPUT THRESHOLD CAN BE ADJUSTED WITH THE HELP OF THE ONBOARD POTENTIOMETER.
