AH-Otasty Ramen / Chowmein
Once a good afternoon... I've decided to treat my sister, she wanted to eat one of this instant soup, so I share with her one out of the box with special ingredients to change the ordinary taste to a new explosion of spicy flavor, adding some unique ingredients.
This Instructable consists of eight (8) steps:
- Warm some water, and open the box!
- Bring the hot water and pour it into it.
- Sauce! Open both sauce bags.
- When life hands you lemons...
- Turn & Mix.
- Taste It! :)
- Enjoy. Bon Appetite! + Extras (see Next Step)
And here next is a list of what you may need.
Supplies
1 supply of Ramen or Chowmein from the box.
1 Bag [or bottle] of hot sauce.
¼ lemon.
1 Fork.
1 or 3 napkin/serviettes.
900ml water, (also, a cooking pot for better)
and fire. (or microwave, not very recommendable)
[Extras:]
1 pair of chopsticks.
1 Egg.
1 Spoon (to get out the egg's peel, or drink the soup).
Warm Some Water, and Open the Box! (or Bag or Bottle Haha)
It's time to start this AH-Otasty plan. Put your water on the cooking pot on the fire, meanwhile: open your supplies! (not all yet, resist) If your food came in a bag, keep it out of the noodles, we will open it later.
Let's skip to the next step if you are about to warm the water on the microwave; I prefer to use fire, and for youngest, the microwave is ok for safety, I just prefer healthy. Also, → remember to not use a metal core pot nor anything metallic in a microwave.
WARNING: please, ensure that your representative or an adult is there. Ask someone for warm the water and let them manipulate the fire, you should just enjoy the safety part of this experiment and a happy meal. Stay safe.
Bring the Hot Water and Pour It Into It.
Ok, once the water is ready, carefully pour it into the Ramen/Chowmein, it can be in a bowl or its même assiette (plate in french, hehe). Pour the amount of water as you desire for eat and, of course, always remember: less water means more concentrated flavors making noodles get warm later too -and too much water will produce a flavor solution into a watery taste.
Microwave? Ok, if you're about to use the microwave, let's put the water into the bowl or plate (assiette in french, mon ami/e). And then, mark on it between "2:30" or "3:15" minutes. Be careful getting it out, and if it is still cold just let it 1:00 or 0:45 minutes more.
WARNING: Please, ask for help, don't worry, let the adult manipulate the hot water and all related things for you.
Sauce! Open Both Sauce Bag.
All right, sauce time! You may see, or not, a couple of little sauce bags. For this Instructable, mine has a special sauce because it is a Teriyaki Chicken flavored Chwomein. WARNING: there are some Ramen of this kind of food that brings a little platinum bag that IS NOT FOR EAT. JUST DON'T OPEN IT, throw it away.
Now, carefully:
- 1st.- Open the main bag (in my case, this Teriyaki Chicken flavor sauce).
- 2nd.- Put on the noodles.
- 3rd.- Open the red hot-sauce you got! Be aware of touching it!! (please, put it only the half of its portion if you are not too tolerant of spicy, it's highly recommended for the youngest to do so). The taste of this, putting on all of it, is warranted {'n.n}
- 4th.- go further to the next step!
Note: You also can use that hot spicy bottle which lies alone at home. Just remind to be careful, huh!
When Life Hands You Lemons...
squeeze them!! Squeeze, squeeze and squeeze!
I use a fork for better results. I pinch it with it. Otherwise, you may see that mine is green, the yellow lemons are ok too! All we need is this fruit's juice -not its peel.
Just try to squeeze it into the soup and not out like your clothes or surroundings! Better you aim to the sauce circle!!
WARNING: After squeezing it, dry your hands with a napkin or wash them with water, and DO NOT RAISE YOUR HANDS TO YOUR FACE. In case of contact with eyes, wash them with abundant cold water.
Turn & Mix
Gently mix all over. Make sure that spicy sauce and everything meet each other, the noodles need it -there is no danger for them about hanging out with the flavors :D
Taste It! :)
The Chef's approvement. Taste your creation and if you want it spicer, you can put in a little more! Just don't exceed on it, because it's your masterpiece!! There is not any undo button.
WARNING: You shouldn't touch any spicy sauce, it may damage your skin as fire does -just less dangerous. Remember: it's still Hot sauce!
Enjoy. Bon Appetite! + Extras (see Next Step)
The best part has arrived! Yes, it is, time for lunch!! Or dinner, or breakfast time -maybe?
It's ready, ok. Let's eat!! (or maybe not, there is an extra. Let's see)
Boiled EGGtra
Hi, thanks for coming to the end. The extra was a thing that my sister asked for, yes she wanted a boiled egg! So, why not? Feel free to add whatever you like most on a soup. I recommend adding a boiled egg because she liked it a lot, and this adds consistency to the soup, salt is not necessary at all nor soy sauce either, of course (too many sauces, won't be good in terms of flavors -trust me). Sometimes less is better than more.
I hope you enjoy the meal, bon appetite!
