A Wind Powered Device That Generates Electricity
We made a wind powered device from materials you might use every day. If you want to learn how to make something very similar, you should learn from us!
Supplies
The materials you will need to complete this project are the following,
- 1 7 by 5 and a half inch piece of wood.
- 1 6 by 5 by 1 and a half inch cardboard box.
- 1 8 inch paper towel roll.
- 3 thick Popsicle sticks.
- A round piece of wood.
- 1 piece of 2 by 3 by 1 wood.
- 2 3 inch Popsicle sticks.
- 1 3 volt DC motor
- Plastic windmill propeller.
- Hot glue.
- Hot glue sticks.
Step 1
Take the 7 by 5 and a half piece of wood, and glue the 6 by 5 by 1 cardboard box to the piece of wood.
Step 2
Glue the paper towel roll, onto the cardboard box.
Step 3
Hot glue the three thick Popsicle stick onto the top of the paper towel roll.
Hot glue the wooden circle onto the Popsicle sticks.
Step 5
Hot glue the 2 by 3 by 1 piece of wood to the circle piece of wood.
Connect the Motor to the piece of wood you just glued on.
Put a VERY SMALL amount of hot glue into your plastic windmill propeller's opening and put it on the motor.
