Tape Reels
Inside , due to the mass production of VHS tapes the inside is not to complicated. There are two reels of tape, containing your old recorded episodes of 'Eastenders' , and two plastic reel covers.
Simply snap these off.
I had already snaped them off before i took the picture, but you can see the remains of the plastic where i failed to snap it off cleanly.

851ft of Tape!! Yippee!
To take off 851ft of tape off of a reel I suggest hanging it off something and letting gravity pull the tape down.
After disconnecting the end of the tape you need to glue the empty reel to the case.
Be careful with glue!!!!! kids need to seek adult help!!!!

The Messy Part
This bits messy, but easy. Again due to it being cheap plastic it snaps quite easily and thats exactly what you need to do here.
Almost like a plastic wall, there is a piece of plastic that will snap off, but this time you'll need to use cutters.
The part in the picture I left on so it would keep its structural integrity, the some on the other side. Only the middle comes off.
The circle come off as well but be careful not to damage the outer plastic. The screw bit can come off also since you don't really need it.

Finishing Touches
Next you need to file, and abrasive paper the remains of the plastic wall you cut out of the middle.
Operation
To open your case, press the button on the side of the cassette and lift the flap that would usualy cover the tape.
Now you have a Retro case for whatever you want.
Hope this was usefull, not something I use all the time but a good little project I did in my spare time.
