You can adjust the size or change the style of the mane. Paint the mask with bright, abstract colors to make it uniquely yours—creating this craft is easy and fun! Created using Autodesk 3ds Max, leveraging my over 8 years of experience with this software.

Supplies

Materials you will need:

  1. Cardboard:

Recommended density: 250-350 grams/m².

  1. Tape:

Silver repair tape.

  1. Glue:

Transparent hot glue.

For the lion mask:

  1. You will need 11 sheets of A4 or Letter size cardboard.

For the mane:

  1. You will need approximately 5-6 additional sheets of A4 or Letter size cardboard.

Additional notes: You can also use larger formats like A3, A2, or any other size. The project is designed to work with these formats as well.

Printing options:

Direct printing on cardboard:

If your printer supports printing on thick paper (such as with a photo printer function), you can print directly on the cardboard.

Printing on regular paper:

Alternatively, you can print on office paper and then transfer the templates onto larger sheets of cardboard.


Cut Out the Pieces.

Start by carefully cutting out all the pieces from your template.

Prepare the Bends.

Gently bend the pieces by running them over the edge of a table to shape them. Follow the instructions to ensure everything is aligned correctly.

Tape the Pieces Together.

Use tape to temporarily hold the pieces together. Follow the order in the instructions to make sure everything fits correctly.

Secure With Hot Glue.

Once the pieces are aligned properly, use a hot glue gun to permanently secure them together.

Add the Mane and Head Ring.

Attach the mane to the mask, and then add the ring for the head to make it fit comfortably.
