A Skeletal Woggle.

A woggle is the proper name for a Cub's (or Scout's) neckerchief slide.

This one was made after a moment's inspiration.

The Idea

Number One Son found a sheep's vertebra last year, and it's been lying around the house ever since - too cool to throw away, too gross to keep.

Then, just as I was putting uniform on for Cubs (I'm a Cub Leader), my eye fell on the vertebra and inspiration struck - it's got a hole in, that would make a cool woggle.

Unfortunately, the hole in the middle (where the ex=sheep's spinal cord used to be) proved to be too small.

The Execution.

So, the vertebra was set aside, until today, when chance brought both bone and rotary tool to my workbench at exactly the same time.

Remembering my idea, two minute's work with the rotary tool produced this, the world's coolest woggle.

Since my Cub name is Mang, the Bat that Brings the Night, this is now an absolutely essential part of my uniform.
