A Simple Magnetic Holder for a CPAP Mask.
If you use a CPAP machine, you may have the same issues I did about how to store the mask and hose. It is no fun to get ready for bed only to find that the mask has slipped onto the floor, and you must clean it.
This holder is an example of my attempt to alleviate that problem.
Our headboard is tubular steel, so magnets easily attach to it. The design still works if you have a headboard made from a different material (ex., Wood) by attaching a steel plate. See our new instructable.
Supplies
The files for the holder and base can be found below. I have also attached the base step file if you want to try modding it yourself.

The design uses two 25mm Neodymium magnets.

Print the File and Attache the Magnets.
Print the file. We printed the file in PETG. It took about four hours.
Attach the magnets. Place one magnet face down on a nonmetallic surface and press the part onto the magnet. The face-down part of the magnet is flat. The other face has a curve to the top, which helps guide it into the hole.
Screw the magnet in. Repeat with the second magnet.
The magnet and screw should be flush with the holder's body so they do not scratch the surface they are applied to.
Attach the Holder to a Surface Close to the CPAP Machine.
Attach the holder to a convenient spot.
I use a bottom attached to the holder, but if you leave the holder open, you can dangle the straps through the center. I like folding the straps and placing the mask on them.
Modify the Design
I have gone through several different mask types on my CPAP journey. I realize this design will not work for all the masks on the market.
I have attached a STEP file for the design. If this design does not work for you, you can import it into FUSION 360 and modify it to come closer to your needs.
An Added Feature
Making the air hose feed from the center of the headboard made it easier for me to sleep at night, so I designed this magnet positioning bracket. It also allowed me to position the hose behind the bed frame.
The file can be found on Printables or Thingiverse.
