A Simple Bootjack

My wife was having a bit of trouble removing her Gumboots/Wellingtons as she has a bad back and can't easily bend.
so she asked if I could make her a bootjack
Supplies

A piece of 6x1 timber (I used a fence paling)
A short piece of 4x2
Drill
Holesaw
Jigsaw
Screws
Drilling the Hole in the 6x1

I cut a piece of the 6x1 fence paling approx 14 inches long.
I then measured the size of the heel of her boot and selected a suitable sized holesaw, fractionally smaller.
I then drilled a hole centrally in the board approx 5 inches from one end,
Extending the Hole

using a Jigsaw I cut to the drilled hole leaving a tapered opening
The Foot

I cut a piece of 4x2 6 inches long and then cut it lengthways at a 10 degree slope, it sits about 1.5 inches high on its high side. I then screwed this to the bottom of the 6x1 using roofing bolts (because they were handy!)
There It Is

Test fitted a boot and made sure it worked---- beer o'clock
