A Signboard for My Store or My House
My idea came from https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-Ultrasonic-S... I made some changes according to my needs.
I designed an LED signboard to say "Hello" to my friends who come to my house or to say "Hello" to my customers who come to my shop (if I have one in the future). More letters on the signboard will light up as someone comes nearer and nearer. The signboard will make a welcome sound and the letters on the signboard will shine when someone is at the door. When it gets dark, the letters on the signboard will light up automatically. This shows people where my house or my shop is. I can hang the signboard on the door of my house or my shop so that people will know that I welcome them to my house or my shop! HELLO! Welcome here!
Prepare Hardware Required
What you need:
1. Breadboard x1
2. Arduino board (I am currently using Arduino Leonardo.)
3. Double-sided PCB board x 6
4. LEDs ( red, blue, green, and yellow)
5. Jumper cables; wires
6. Resistors x 6 (Note: for more safety of LED)
7. Mosfet x 6
8. HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor x1
9. Speaker x1
10. Foam board x 1
11. Paper box x 1
Design Your Sign
After getting all the materials needed, arrange the LEDs on the PCB board to make the five letters H, E, L, L, O, and a smiling face.
The steps are shown in the pictures.
Assemble the Other Parts
The ways of assembling are shown in the circuit diagram.
Each of the five letters--H, E, L, L, O, and the smiling face is controlled by a different wire. You need to label them or you'll get confused easily because there are too many wires.
Programming
Now it's time to start programming the code.
My code is attached below.
Do the Decoration If Needed
Hide all your materials into a box and you are done.
