A Really Cool Yo-Yo!

IMG_7781.JPG

I made a really cool Yo-Yo that I'm proud to present as my first instructable. Maybe you don't have your own Yo-Yo or just wanna make your own, and I just wanted to make my own Yo-Yo so that I could try it out since iv never played with a Yo-Yo before. It isn't the best but I'm proud of what i made.

Supplies

3D Printer
Filament for 3D printer
YoYo string

Researching

I spent a while on this project just researching Yo-Yos and how they work to try to get many ideas on what to do and how to do it. I found that Yo-Yos are very simple toys that aren't hard to make. I took a while to look at designs and other different Yo-Yo's, i suggest that you look for your own design and try to make it yourself so its more special.

Modeling

YoYo.jpg

I took a while to model the YoYo to how I wanted it to look kinda older, but to each their own. Yo-Yo's come in many different sizes and designs, so while modeling i took my time looking at other models and examples before deciding on what id like to do.

3D Printing

After coming up with your design, you should 3D print your Yo-Yo and get it all put together. The Yo-Yo parts should all fit together if designed well. I don't personally have a 3D Printer but thanks to the help of my teacher, he helped me with making this project and using his 3D printer for this project.

Finishing Up

Once you finish up putting your Yo-Yo together, you can paint or spray paint it whatever color you like, or add decals so that it is to your liking. Tie the Yo-Yo string onto your Yo-Yo, if you don't know how I suggest using youtube to learn, it is how I learned how to put a string on my Yo-Yo. I kept my Yo-Yo a black color because i like the way it looks, but you can basically design and model it however you like!

This was my first Intrsutable and i hope you enjoyed it. Have lots of fun with your new Yo-Yo.
