A Portrait of the Tree

Well, I was going through a book named " A portrait of the Tree " by Adrian Houston and I got so much inspired by the way the books tells about the beauty of nature. So if you are an environmentalists or a nature lover then I strongly recommend you to read this book and there was just a simple question asked in the book" what is your favourite tree?" that blown me away and I started to think of the answer but didn't get it and after so much of thoughts I got the answer and the answer was " THE RAINBOW TREE " which actually is an imagination of mine.

And I think that its the best way I can express my love towards the nature and the best part is that anyone can make this portrait with ease because we will be using cotton buds.

• Acrylic colors
• Paint brushes
• Cotton buds

• For this step we need paint brush and if you find difficulty in making the trunk you can first make the outline with pencil and then can fill the colors in it.
• You can give the shade with black to look more real.
• Now for the branches make them a little thinner and you can add different shades of colors.

• Now in this step we will be playing with colors on a different level.
• Now take a bunch of cotton buds and dip them in your favourite colors and just make patterns of your choice its important to follow your imagination.
• I have added all the rainbow colors which I like for my portrait and you can also do the same.
• You can add layers of colors.

• Now in this step we will be making the background and for this you can make grasses, flowers like I have done it.
• Try to make it as colorful as you can that's the main aim.

CONGRATS !!!! we have made it and now you can frame this and place it in your drawing room I hope you enjoyed it.
