A Mini Factory
This is an easy first design for beginners getting into 3d printing. Based on a coal factory located near my house, this is easy to design on any software. I used Tinkercad.
Supplies
- Computer
- 3d print software
- 3d printer
- Slicer software
Get 3 big rectangles and attach them like in the image. Drag/create a smaller rectangle to add to the front to work as a door.
Add another rectangle to the top and drag 3 cylinders and position them on top like shown. Make all three have different heights.
For the next step drag three more cylinders of the same height. Make the radii of each about 2 mm smaller than the original. Drag them into the center of the placed cylinders and click the hole button on them. Then group the two and it will hollow out the cylinders.
Drag a scribble tool and draw a window object and insert it to the 3d print.
Add the window to the front of the building and you're done. No overhangs mean it will print with no problem with no supports!
