A Leather Watch Bowl
This bowl is a fun and easy project to do if you are new to leather like me. Watches fit perfectly in the bowl but you can put a lot of different things jewelry and more!
Making the Pieces
Cut 16, 2 foot leather strands. Then, start coiling one by one, as you coil them, add leather glue so that it doesn't unravel. Repeat this with all 16.
Attaching Pieces
Once you have made 16 coils, take 6 and lay them out like you see in the first picture. Then glue the 5 outer circles to the one in the center at an angle like you see in the second picture.
Attaching the Last Pieces
Now, take 5 more coils and glue them on like you see in the first picture, the bowl should start to look like a pentagon. Take the remaining 5 coils and glue them between the pieces you just glued, I forgot to take a picture for this part.
Finishing Touches
Our bowl is done but it looks a little messy. Cut out small squares of leather and glue them to every part where one of the coils are connected ( glued to each other) . You don't have to do this but it will make your bowl look neater.
Enjoy!
The most important part of all, enjoy your bowl!
