A KIDS FROG Game
I was asked at my work place to do some activities for the kids to make at home, so I made a children's game so that they can spend time playing outdoors, it is made with materials that they have at the home.
Supplies
- Some pieces of cardboard (a pizza box will be great)
- A balloon
- A shoe box
- The finest glue (Flour and water)
- Scotch tape
- Scissors and a cutter
- MDF leftovers
- A circle cutter for the drill.
Make the Body of the Frog
inflate the balloon and cover it with strips of newspaper give it 3 layers, for this use paste made with flour and water.
Cut the Cardboard
Mark the frog's feet on a cardboard and cut them
For the legs, fold a piece of newspaper in half, then by a third and then another third, with this make some rolls and secure it with scotch tape. Attached the cardboard legs to the news paper rolls (two long legs and two short legs)
Assemble Your Frog
Fix the long legs to the base of the balloon and bend each one to the side. Also join the short legs in front of the frog.
Cover everything with another layer of newspaper strips .
Pop the balloon and put two balls of newspaper as if they were eyes, and cover it with more strips of paper.
Let it dry for a few hours.
Give It a Layer of Paper Towels
Give it a layer of kitchen paper, use the glue made of flour and water.(If is warm it works better)
Once it is dry it will harder and you are ready to draw the mouth and paint it.
Draw the shape of the mouth and cut it out with the cardboard knife. You can sand the imperfections.
Put It Some Colors
To paint the frog use some green tepaint for the body and black for the inside of the mouth,
Cut the Discs
For the chips or discs
Cut mdf circles with the drill
Paint them first white and then color them with flashy colors.
The Box
For the box of the game I reused a shoe box and made the divisions out of reused cardboard.(the pizza box)
that divisions will hold the discs for further calculations of the points.
Finally you can paint the box.
