A Fence

I made this instructable because of my experience with making fences and woodworking. Another reason for making this is to tell other people about this and show people how to make little side jobs for there house by there self.

Supplies

6x6x10 Post

2x4 Board

1x6 Board

String line

Auger

Concrete

Screws

Nails

Handtools

Shovels

Water

  • Put up a string line to mark where to dig your holes in a straight line
  • Mark 8 feet apart from each hole with spray paint
  • Dig holes with 12 inch auger
  • Dig holes 3 feet down
  • Put 6x6x10 in the holes
  • Put concrete and water in the hole with the posts together and mix for just a bit

  • Wait for concrete to be set fully
  • Get 2x4s to start framing
  • Cut 4 2x4s per section at the same length with a chop-saw
  • Make the heights for the fence so that theres no gaps underneath the boards.
  • Make sure it's level

  • Start putting up the 1x6 boards next to each other and start nailing them flush to top and other boards
  • Level every couple of boards so that it doesn't go out of level.
  • Cut the filler boards to size to make sure that there aren't any gaps. 
  • Cut the tops of the posts 2 inches higher then the top 2x4 with a skill saw
  • Put the post caps on
  • Clean up and your done
