Creative Door Curtain With Coloring Art Paper Rolls
Creating a colorful curtain with art paper is a delightful and creative DIY project that can brighten up any room. We embarked on an imaginative journey to create a unique and vibrant door curtain. Utilizing coloring art paper rolls, we crafted a visually stunning piece that not only adds a splash of color to any room but also showcases the intricate Roman blind folding technique.
This project merges practicality with artistic flair, transforming simple materials into a functional and decorative element that captures the essence of a rainbow's beauty. Join us as we delve into the creative process behind this innovative door curtain design.
Supplies
- Art Papers
- Wooden Plank
- Thread
- Craft Glue
- Rubber Bands
- Hooks
Cutting the Art Paper
- Cut art papers into thin strips of about 12cm X 60cm
- Roll diagonally and create paper sticks.
- Glue the sticks from the end so that they don't unwind.
Rolling the Art Paper
- Created 100s of this rolls of various colors.
Attach Rubber Bands
- Start with winding mini rubber bands on both side with the next roll.
- Rubber bands are easier to control and quick to assemble. But this rubber band step is temporary.
- After the rubber bands are connected, lay them.
Hook It Up
- Now the actual threading process needs to start.
- With a curved GI wire and thread, the rolls were stitched.
Cutting the Rubber Bands
- The rubber bands were then cut and removed.
Shaping the Edges
- The sides were trimmed and a straight line was produced.
Providing Support
- Here we wanted to create a Roman blind effect to wind our curtain.
- For that we needed to create 4 partitions along the curtain.
- Insert pipe-like wooden sticks inside the paper rolls in each partitions.
Hanging Hooks Installation
- To mount the curtain to the door, the curtain needs to be attached with a wooden panel.
- The wooden panel needs to be hooked and here the same is being done.
- These hooks have 2 sides, one is attached onto the wooden panel and another side will be connected with the door's frame.
Attaching Wooden Plank
- The curtain is attached to the wooden panel using some craft glue. And kept to dry.
Roman Blind Mechanism
- To make the Roman blind functional. The hooks were installed at each partition.
Tying the Threads
- The threads were looped from all the left and right hooks.
- A parallel connection was created.
- In the end one pull is kept that when pulled will bring the curtains fold from both side.
Final
The final working model is displayed. By employing coloring art paper rolls and the Roman blind folding technique, we have created a door curtain that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. This project not only highlights our dedication to artistic innovation but also serves as an inspiration for others to explore and experiment with everyday materials. We hope our work encourages more creative endeavors that bring color and joy into everyday spaces.
