A Coconut Winter Wonderland

Are you not feeling very jolly about your holidays. Well this will winter wonderland your house, stomach, and mouth to a wonderland. Pre-heat the oven to 350.

Supplies

The things you need are flour, baking soda, salt 2 and 1/2 sticks butter, sugar, 10 egg whites, sour cream, vanilla extract, coconut extract, canned coconut milk, sweetened coconut flakes, 1 cups, teaspoons, Tablespoons, a measuring cups, 1/3 cup, olive spray oil, a 13 by 9 pan, and parchment paper

Flour Time

So first you are going to put 5 cups of flour, 4 teaspoons baking soda, and 1 teaspoon baking powder in a bowl. Then mix it.

Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl mix 2 1/2 sticks butter, 3 1/3 cup sugar, 10 egg whites, 1 cup sour cream, 4 teaspoons vanilla extract, 2 teaspoons coconut extract, and 2 cups canned coconut milk. Then add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix. Next add 2 cups of coconut flakes. Then mix.

Almost Oven Time

Now you need to put some parchment paper in your pan. Then spray it with the spray olive oil. Next put the batter in the pan. Fill the pan about a third of the way to the top because it will rise very far. Now that you have put the cakes in the oven set a timer for 23 minutes. If that isn't enough time for you then put the cake back in the oven for 9 more minutes. If you did it right your cake will look like the picture.

Frosting Time

Put 1 cup of butter in a bowl now add 1 cup of cream cheese into the bowl. Next put 5 and 1/2 cups confectioners sugar in the bowl. Add the confectioners sugar 1 cup at a time ,then mix the butter and sugar every time you put in a cup of confectioners sugar. Now add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract. After you mix all that mix in 2 tablespoons coconut milk and 2 1/2 cups shredded coconut.

Cut and Frost

After your cake has cooled off, cut the cakes in half. Then you put a plop of frosting on the first level of cake and spread it around. Repeat this 4 times. Cut the sides of the cake so they are all equal. Then frost the sides.

Decorating

Now it's time to decorate. The first thing you need to do is add the shredded coconut on top of the cake and on the sides. If you have any fondant you can decorate it with the stuff you make out of fondant, Then you will have your cake.
