9 Volt Secret Taser

IMG_0417.JPG
First off, i know conrad2468 made a similar one(hint hint "similar").
His uses only 9 volts, mine uses 330v or close to it. and my whole approch to it is differnt
last but not least i must thank rwilsford07 for the charger plans.

Well here it is a small secret taser!

Supplies

What you need
1. (1) 9volt battery
2. (1) disposable camera
3. (1) capacitor charger (made from camera). go to rwilsford07's coil gun instructable and its in there. there are instructions for a simpler one later on.
4. (1) AA battery and battery holder
5. (1) 9volt battery holder
6. (1) switch
7. soldering iron and solder, needle nose pliers, electrical tape,
and wire
the 9volt battery holder, AA battery holder and switch can be found at radio shack.

Battery

For the battery all you need to do is take out all the insides.

you do this by using your needle nose pliers to pry back the bottom and take out the bottom cap. then you push the top cap out the bottom and cut the connectors.

you can throw away the insides or use them as AAA batteries.

The Capacitor

to get the capacitor you are going to need the disposable camera(you can get these free at wal-mart. ask for the used ones.), soldering iron, and pliers.

1. open the camera and get the chip board out.
2. discharge the capacitor by touching the two leads together with your pliers. you should see a spark on contact. after that it will be safe to touch. make sure you take the battery out.
3. you can either desolder the capacitor out or just cut it out with the pliers. cutting it out is easier.
4. if you dont want to make the smaller charger. the next step will tell you how to make one alittle simpler.
REMEMBER WHAT POLARITY GOES WERE

A Charger

IMG_0436.JPG
alright. now that you have the capacitor out your going to need a charger.

All you have to do is solder in two wires were you got the capacitor out of. wal-la now make sure the wires are out of the casing when you put it back together. connect the 9volt battery holder to the two wires. make sure you get the polarity right.

Lets Put It Together

all you need to do here is solder the leads to the top cap. make sure it is negative-negative and positive-positive.

also the leads must be straight and the total length cant be longer than the battery casing.

Charge

test the charge to see if you got the polarity right. (be carful this is dangerous: dont touch any of the metal).
If you dont hear a noise getting louder then you got it wrong.

Then discharge and put some electrical tape over the capacitor and its leads.

finish up

1. put the capacitor in and it should look like pic one.
2. stuff some tape or whatever you can (not conductive) put in and then colse it up.
3. put the bottom cap back on and bend the metal back into place.
