While building a text display device using an Arduino and LED matrix, I came up with the idea of arranging used bottle caps on a large panel. This is a digital tool that uses no electricity at all.

Supplies

  • Various colours of bottlecaps (used and washed)
  • Woods for the panel and frame
  • Glues and paints

Drill 64 Holes in the Panel

Panel size is 450x450mm, holes are 30mm in diameter.

Attach a Frame to the Panel

Depth of the frame is about 50mm.

Paint the Panel and Frame

Paint one side black and the other white.

Fit Bottle Caps Into the Holes in the Panel

Fitting caps of various colors in various places can represent more than just rainbows.

This process is the most enjoyable time!

It can be used for intellectual training for children and prevention of blurring for the elderly, also.
