6 Easy to make Vegetable Purees for 6+ months baby.
How much to serve: (depends on your babies appetite too :)
starting week ( 1 - 2 tsp )
second week - ( 2 tsp - 2.5 tsp )
3rd week - ( 1 Tablespoon )
4th week - ( 1.5 Tablespoon )
Recipe #1 - Carrot Puree
For 1 time meal:
1/2 cup of chopped carrot
water - 1/2 cup
For freezing : (1 week food 6 month old)
2 cups of chopped carrot
water - 1.5 cups
Recipe #2 - Sweet Potato Puree
For 1 time meal: 1/2 cup of chopped sweet potato
water - 1/2 cup
For freezing : (1 week food 6 month old)
2 cups of chopped sweet potato
water - 1.5 cups
Recipe #3 - Pumpkin Puree
For 1 time meal:
1/2 cup of chopped pumpkin
water - 1/2 cup
For freezing : (1 week food 6 month old)
2 cups of chopped pumpkin
water - 1.5 cups
Recipe #4 - Peas Puree
For 1 time meal:
1/2 cup of peas (fresh or frozen)
water - 1/2 cup

Recipe #5 - Potato Puree
For 1 time meal: 1/2 cup of chopped potato
water - 1/2 cup
For freezing : (1 week food 6 month old)
2 cups of chopped potato
water - 1.5 cups
Recipe #6 - Butternut Squash Puree
For 1 time meal:
1/2 cup of chopped butternut squash
water - 1/2 cup
For freezing : (1 week food 6 month old)
2 cups of chopped butternut squash
water - 1.5 cups
Method : ( The cooking method is same for all 6 recipes )
Step 1) Add the rice, vegetable and water into a sauce pan.
Step 2) Bring it to a boil
Step 3) When it boils, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes for 1 time meal ( or 25 minutes for bulk/freezing meal)
Step 4) For bulk freezing: Blend the cooked contents when warm using a hand/stick blender and let it cool completely before freezing.
Step 5) For 1 time meal : Add the cooked contents into a small bowl and blend using a hand/stick blender.
note: Remember to adjust the consistency to a light or medium thick puree.
