6 Simple Steps to Bake Easy Juicy Lamb Meatballs / Lamb Kofta Recipe

Baked lamb meatballs - How to bake juicy lamb meatballs - Lamb kofta recipe


Here is an easy juicy Baked Lamb Meatballs recipe ( Lamb Kofta recipe ) .. no frying .. no mess .. and more flavour with a touch of spice :)

Ingredients: ( for lamb meatballs / lamb kofta )

500 gms - lamb mince
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder ( or paprika)
1 tsp - meat masala or garam masala
coriander powder - 1 tsp
fennel powder - 1 tsp
salt - 3/4 tsp (or to taste)
1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves ( or parsley )
oil - 2 tsp

( note: if you like to make your own meat masala for this recipe, grind below spices : 1 red chilli, 1/2 tsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 cardamom, 1 cloves, tiny cinnamon piece)

Preheat Oven & Grease Foil

Step 1) Preheat the Oven to 200 C / 400 F. Line a baking tray with foil and grease with little oil.

Add All the Ingredients Into a Bowl

Step 2) Into a bowl, add all the ingredients ( lamb mince, spice powders, salt, 1 tsp oil and coriander leaves)

Combine the Ingredients

Step 3) Combine the ingredients using your hand or a spatula. ( Looks like a meat-dough at the end ). Add a tsp of oil and coat it.

Make Meatballs/kofta

Step 4) Make bite-size balls out of mince and arrange on the greased baking tray.

Bake

Step 5) Bake at 200 C / 400 F for 12 - 15 minutes or until the meatballs turn light brown with random brown spots and the moisture on the foil is 90 % dry.

( note: do not let the moisture on the foil completely dry as this will harden the meatballs making it less juicy )

Once Done, Remove From Foil

Step 6) Once they are done, remove the meatballs from the foil and place on the serving dish.

Enjoy with your favourite sauce or just eat them as they are already full of flavours :)
