5-minute Coffee Topping

Don't have any powdered sugar, milk, or butter for frosting?

If you are ever in need of a quick topping for cake, brownies, ice cream, hot cocoa, or coffee, look no further!

This recipe makes a very light, cool-whip like coffee flavored topping that is good for all that and more!

It is super easy, quick, and almost like magic because it all comes together with 3 ingredients in less than 5 minutes, and it is delicious!

If you have ever heard of Dalgona whipped coffee, this is exactly like that. in the traditional recipe, there is one part each of instant coffee, water, and sugar. But, with the slight adjustment of making it 3 parts sugar instead of one, you make a sweeter version that is good for lots of things!

In this example I am using tablespoons as my measurement, but if you want to make a big yield, you can use bigger measurements like cups, to make a lot!

Let's get started!

Supplies

3 parts any kind of sugar*(I'm using brown)

1 part instant coffee crystals

1 part water

* If you want to use a sugar substitute, like splenda, make sure it is granulated, instead of the concentrated version that you usually get

Whip Ingrediants

All you have to do for this recipe is add the ingredients to a container, and whip them for a couple minutes.

Right off the bat, you can see the mixture getting lighter and thicker.

You are simply going to keep whipping for up to 3 minutes, until it has shiny, stiff peaks, much like meringue.

You can hand-whip, it won't take that much longer, but I am using an electric hand mixer for convenience. If you are making a big batch, I suggest using an electric mixer, or a stand mixer.

Enjoy!

When you are done, you have a luscious, shiny, topping that you can use immediately or later! It does not deflate or lose it's poof!

Happy kitchening!
