This is a variation of my 5 Minute Stove Top Tortilla Pizzas. If you like pizza check it out!

I was introduced to tuna melts by a family that I nannied for. They would take pieces of bread and add tuna and some cheese on top and bake them in the oven. Very tasty!

Just the other day I was wanting to make some of my stove top tortilla pizzas but I didn't have any sauce or toppings. That's when I remembered tuna melts and I thought, "Why not make my pizza with tuna instead?".

And so this recipe was born.

Supplies

You will need:

  • 1 can of tuna in water
  • mayo
  • mustard
  • corn tortillas
  • grated cheese

Prep Your Tuna

To start off open up your can of tuna and drain off the juice. I put mine in a bowl for my cats. They love it!

Place tuna in a bowl and add about 1 Tbsp of mayo and about 1/2 tsp of mustard. If you don't like mustard in your tuna you can just add mayo.

Mix it all together.

Prep Tortilla

Next add some oil to your pan and let it heat on medium.

Once the oil is hot, place your corn tortilla in the pan and let it fry for about 30 seconds then flip your tortilla over.

Add Toppings

Now spoon out some tuna onto your tortilla and spread it around then sprinkle a little cheese on top.

Finish Frying

Continue to let your tortilla cook until the cheese is all melted. I like to cook mine for another few minutes until the the tortilla is nice and crispy.

Once the tortilla is cooked to your liking, remove from the pan and let cool.

That's it! If you like you can sprinkle with a little salt for better flavor.

I hope you enjoy my recipe!
