5 Minute Omelet
Omelets are one of my favorite gotos in the morning, especially on mornings when I'm off work. Now there are countless different ways of preparing your omelet. I'm just going to show you a basic and simple five minute omelet but you can always tailor it to your own liking and cook it for as long as you like (I personally don't like my omelet too runny). Be your own chef in your kitchen =) If you want to make your own 5 minute omelet then follow the step by step guide below or watch the video tutorial here:
Ingredients & Tools
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 slice of cooked Bacon (chopped)
- 2 Tablespoons of shredded cheese of your choice
Tools
- All Clad Skillet 8 inch

- misc. kitchen utensils
Beat Eggs
Start off by heating an omelet skillet on medium heat. As skillet is heating, crack eggs into a small bowl and beat with salt and pepper.
Melt Butter
Once skillet is hot, add butter and coat the bottom of pan, once the pan is coated and butter is melted lower heat to low.
Add Eggs
Once the butter is melted add in beaten eggs.
Fry
Using a wooden spoon, gently push the edges toward the center and tilt pan so the uncooked eggs reach the hot surface and cook. Repeat until there is visible liquid egg remaining.
Add Cheese and Bacon
Add chopped bacon and shredded cheese to half of the omelet and fold omelet onto itself using a fish spatula.
Add Topping and Enjoy
Plate and top with extra bacon and cheese. Enjoy! You can virtually add any toppings you want to this because omelets are so versatile, so if you prefer other toppings simply substitute!
