One of the easiest ways to make a wand is with paper, scissors, and hot glue. First, roll up your sheet of paper (corner to corner) and glue in place. cut off the two pointed ends and fill them in with hot glue. Now, add all sorts of fun designs to your wand with the hot glue. I did a ring on eacf end of the handle. Then, I made a dotted spiral thing on the handle and a leafy vine crawling up the shaft. Once you are finished with the hot glue designs, you could paint it however you want. I spray painted the handle of my wand black, the shaft got painted yellow, and the vine thing got painted white. I chose yellow black and white for the hufflepuff house in the movie :)

Find a descent stick that isn't too thick and is fairly straight. Mark a line about 3 or 4 inches from the end of the stick and whittle everything from that point on. Now, narrow down the whittled part a little and you could sand it if you'd like. I also lacquered mine after I was finished.

The Clay Wand

First find a dowel or extremely straight and thin stick. Next get some sculpey clay. You could do whichever wand you would like to do but I did Mad Eye Moody's wand. First I rolled a ping pong ball sized ball of clay. I put this on the end of the stick and stabbed it on a little further and I smoothed the clay on. Then I  added a clump of clay below the ball of clay. I now added little marble size balls all around the clump of clay and smoothed them out. I baked the wand at 250F degrees for 1 hour. Once it was cool, I painted it black. I did this same kind of thing for Remus Lupin's wand and Fleur Delacour's wand.
