3d Printed Keyboard Earrings for Anyone

I love all things nerdy, geeky and just plain techy. In most cases I cannot find those items so I make them for me and friends. When it comes to creating 3d printing files, many 2d items can be easily constructed by extruding from a 2d SVG or drawing right in Fusion360. There are far better tutorials about using Fusion360 so I'll focus on the big picture.

Import the SVG into Fusion360.

Select just the keyboard keys by holding down the SHIFT and extrude to the level desired

Select the rest of the keyboard body and extrude to just less than the key's height

Save your file and export the STL

Slice the File for Printing

Import the STL file into PrusaSlicer.

Drag the vertical slider down until you can no longer see the keys. This will create a pause in the printing.

Click the plus on the vertical slider to create the second layer.

Slice the file and transfer to your printer.

Print the file and change the filament when your printer alerts you.
