3d Printed Headphone Hanger

IMG_8069.jpg

I like to make and produce music and I wanted a headphone hanger that attached to my desk and was able to hold my headphones so i didn't have to keep putting them back in their case or leave them on my desk where they could (most likely wouldn't) get damaged. I wanted the holder to be sturdy and get the job done so I came up with a improvised version of this that I saw on thingiverse. The one on thingiverse only had one support so I added a blank and a another connecting arm so it would be structurally stable and not fragile.I also beefed up the width of the hanger so it would be thicker. So if you want to make something similar, follow along!

Supplies

The supplies you need for this project are :

A 3d printer ( I used a tronxy x1) , A cad design software , pla 3d printer filament , and a 3d printing software( I used ultimaker cura)

Step 1: Design Your Headphone Hanger

I used Autocad to design and fit my headphone holder to my desk which had a height of 19mm. You can adjust your design according to your specifications.

Step 2: Autocad to Stl, Then Set Printer Settings. Then Splice Stl File

You are going to want to convert your autocad file to an stl file by exporting it and converting it. Then you can start entering the printer settings and splice the file.

Step 3: Start Printing

Now is the easy step. Your file should be uploaded into the printer. Click ready to print and sit back and watch...or go do something else it's up to you.

Step 4: Test and Enjoy Your Product

Now you should have a fully made headphone hanger. Congrats! You might want to test it out and see if it fits on your desk perfect and if your headphones will be able to stay on.
