3d Printed Fidget Spinner Design Tinkercad

instructable 6.PNG

This is a fidget spinner that is completely 3d printed (besides the bearings) and is fully customizable to how you like it.I will walk you through this process of making your very own 3d printed fidget spinner.

Starting Your Design

This design was an easy to make design in Tinkercad since there are only a few required steps. At the end of designing you will be able to customize the design to your liking. You will need to do this design in tinkercad unless you have a designer that can do similar steps as Tinkercad.

Placing Down Materials

To start your design place four tube pieces down on the workplane in somewhat of the shown formation. This is mostly just so you can begin working on the design of the tubes before connecting them together.

Shaping Each Tube

Next you'll want to select each tube and set them to all of the shown settings to get the right shape for each one. This is important since this is the best way for the bearings to fit post-print. This widens, heightens, and lets the tube look like an actual spinner rather then some tubes connected to each other with bearings in the middle.

Next you'll want to just simply move each one close enough to connect but not so much that they are going into the holes of the tube. You will pretty much just want to connect the sides of the tube about a millimeter into each other and fit together. When your done putting them you'll want to align them so it can be centered correctly. You'll also want to group them after you align them for sizing and printing.

Sizing and End Touches

Finally once you have shaped the tubes and placed them together you will need to size the design. You should set your designs size a little bit larger than shown in the picture(76x76) as i had to sand a lot before the bearings finally fit in the spinner. After sizing you can start messing with the spinner to see if you can customize it to how you like.I personally put my initials on mine but you can do whatever you like.
