i made a 3d modeled train that has 2 parts to fit on the ends of the cork. the train is under 6 inches in length and is a good addition to a desk or another train lover.( this is a very brief and simple steps, does not go into detail. i am not a 3d printing guy. just have fun).

Supplies

you will need: a 3d modeling software (i used tinkercad)

a 3d printer (wherever you can find one)

Scale Check

one of the things i recommend you do at first is to change your scale. (depending on your size you want it), it is best to check this and change it so your print is not too small or too big.depending on the software, there should be a tab to change the scale and update your grid.

Add Your Shapes

select the shapes for your train. when you are done with the shapes, move them around however you like. depending on your software, you can change the workspace to have more building places that the original building mat. when you have moved them to make your train, find the selection to group all the shapes together. this will allow them to print together as one. when this is done, use hole shapes to make the slots for the cork. (if you do not want a cork, you can add a cylinder, add the caps together, and group the shapes.).

Print Your Train!

congratulations!! you just 3d modeled your own 3d cork train! you can select the 3d printer in your modeling section and let it print, or some libraries, or schools have 3d printers you can use. enjoy your train!
