This is a phone holder that fits on your wrist.

The watch parts try to imitate hard material watches with linkers. They're Y shaped and fit into each other and are kept together by a peg. The hole for the linkers is a 0.11 inch diameter while the peg has a 0.10 inch diameter which allows the linkers to move non-loosely which makes the linkers keep their shape.

the linkers have a hook bit and hook taker bit so you can keep it around your wrist.

the linkers have a thing in the middle called the Father linker which plugs into the mother hinge.

the mother hinge is secured to the hinge-ing surface which goes up and down, the hinge-ing surface is connecting to a rotating surface so you can rotate the phone.

the rotating surface has a little buddy which comes with a thread buddy.

the thread buddy goes thru the red buddy on the image and also thru the rotating surface so you can clamp your phone in place that way it doesn't move and fall out.

Supplies

If you want to 3d print this and you probably do

you need these files.

once you have then you just need to print them. Technically you could take the assembly file and put it into your 3d printer but i doubt your printer is that big (mine wasn't)

Mother Hinge

mother hinge image for real this time i swear no take backs.jpg

The mother hinge which has 2 hinge options and a circle cranny in the middle is the center of this build

My teacher Mr. Heithold (the myth, the legend) got this from a website where CAD files are stored. I think it might have been GrabCAD

This works in the metric system thus the male part underneath it called the father linker has to be in metric to interact with it

100 length 70 width 25 height

the diameter is 25mm for the hinge options.

if you wanted to add on to this all you have to do is create a item that could fit the diameter and then put a peg with the diameter of 20 or so into both the mother hinge & the item.

Hinging Platform

platform image.jpg

the hinging platform is what attaches to the mother hinge. the diameter of the circle that's connected to the mother hinge is 0.394 of a inch

the diameter of the circle in the middle which connects to the rotating platform above it is 1.0 inch.

5 length 4 width 0.28 height

the reason it's slanted in on itself with it's edges is because it looks nice :-)

it makes it easier to decern the rotating platform & the hinging platform

A thing i would improve on would be the way the rotating surface attaches to the phone holding surface as it rotates correctly but if you have a autodesk software installed to view all of this. I encourage you to see what i've made for yourself

Orange, Red & Pink Pieces

rotating surface's buddy.jpg
pink threader.jpg

the orange is the real muscle in this operation. It majority of the phone's back.

the red piece is the loose cannon who moves whenever the pink threaded peg is moved.

and the pink peg goes thru them both. That mean's he's the leader.

the reality of this design is that it's like a clamp. the pink peg can go fully or or partially into the orange & red piece to keep the phone in place while you're using it.

Wrist Watch Freinds

the linkers were previously an issue where they had .01 space to move but that was too little. you could move them but it was very forceful

so instead they have .02 space to move. the diameter of the hole is 0.12. the diameter of the peg is 0.1.

with those diameters gravity can allow the linkers to move down like a real watch.
