3d Print 5ft Great Sword

Lake's Great Sword.png

I've decided to make a 5ft Great Sword in Tinkercad just for fun. (Also description and steps might be scuffed because I'm still building it)

Supplies

  • 3d printer
  • 1in diameter, 5ft round wooden dowel
  • 15 nuts and bolts with 1/4in threaded diameter
  • Strong glue

Print

Print all of the parts out with a 3d printer.

  • The sword is designed for two blade parts to be printed to make it roughly 5ft
  • The blade clips are extra and not required unless something goes wrong and new ones need to be printed

Drill Holes

Mark where each drill hole needs to go on the wooden dowel rod by sliding the 3d print parts over it and drawing inside of the holes.

Drill a 1/4in diameter hole through all marked places

Assemble

  • Slide the 3d print parts back over the wooden dowel rod and insert the bolts in every hole
  • Make sure to tightly secure the bolts with nuts
  • Slide the blade clips into the notches in the blade and secure with glue
